Welcome to the Called to Transformation Participant Training!

The purpose of this training is to prepare you to be part of an asset-based community development (ABCD) process in your local ministry setting and neighborhood.

Before you begin, we invite you to view the following welcome message from The Most Rev. Michael Curry, Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church.

By completing this training, you will …

  • begin to develop relationships and cultural competency on your team (Module 1);
  • learn the basic concepts of ABCD and the tasks of recognizing and mapping assets (Module 2);
  • apply your conceptual knowledge by practicing one-on-one meetings and engaging with real-world case studies (Module 3);
  • integrate your knowledge and practice to begin developing a holistic understanding of healthy, ongoing ABCD processes (Module 4);
  • deepen this understanding via a field site visit in your community and begin planning your church or ministry’s own engagement with ABCD (Module 5); and
  • familiarize yourself with resources that can support your team’s ongoing formation for this work (Module 6).

For a simple tour of this training, including support with navigation, you may want to watch this brief overview video:
